Lincoln Memorial University invites applications for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor of Anatomy at the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (DCOM) – Orange Park Campus in Florida. This faculty role has the primary responsibility of teaching medical anatomy and/or histology in accordance with the LMU-DCOM approved curriculum. The position also contributes to the University’s mission through scholarly activity and service.
The faculty member will:
Deliver instruction in medical anatomy and/or histology to medical students.
Develop, deliver, and assess lectures, labs, and other instructional activities.
Participate in scholarly activity, including research, publications, and professional engagement.
Provide service to the University, College, and Department through committees, advising, and community involvement.
Support LMU-DCOM’s mission to prepare future osteopathic physicians with excellence, compassion, and integrity.
PhD in Anatomy or a closely related field.
Experience in teaching medical anatomy and histology.
Experience with electronic, virtual, and/or augmented reality teaching and instruction.
The role requires:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking, particularly during anatomy labs.
Regular use of instructional technology, computers, and lab equipment.
The ability to lift up to 25 pounds, move equipment, and assist with lab setup as needed.
Manual dexterity sufficient to handle laboratory specimens, instruments, and models.
Clear communication skills for lectures, presentations, and collaborative work.
