SLP Speech-Language Pathologist Opening

The Morris Center Ponte Vedra Beach (TMCPVB), is growing! TMCPVB is located in beautiful Ponte Vedra Beach in an inspiring ~8,000 sq ft building with state of the art resources and expertise focused 100% on quality of clinical care and its outcomes; TMCPVB is NOT focused on your billable hours and note taking. Our TMCPVB team of professionals is looking for a motivated and dynamic Speech-Language Pathologist (licensed in FL; CFY’s may apply) to provide assessment and treatment services to a diverse population of clients, typically ranging in age from 2-3 year-olds to young adults.

Join a transdisciplinary team of compassionate professionals who are passionate, and highly skilled in both diagnosis and transdisciplinary treatment of clients with a wide range of Neurodevelopmental Disorders (eg, Language, Speech Sound, Social Communication, Specific Learning Disorders including dyslexia / reading, writing, mathematics, or spelling), as well as sensorimotor / developmental coordination disorder, sensory integration and/or processing deficits, ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and/or related issues.

The Morris Center Ponte Vedra Beach Company Description

At The Morris Center, we are nationally and internationally recognized for 39 years of expertise with our research-based & evidence-based approaches within an innovative transdisciplinary team assessment and high intensity empowering treatment model. Our team is comprised of experts in Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Neuropsychology, School Psychology, Education, and Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics or Child/Adolescent Psychiatry (the later two by consultation as needed).

In collaboration with the treatment team, the highly qualified and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist will provide direct care (assessment and treatment of children and adults; case management/education with parents; school liaison), supervision of adherence to treatment protocols, contribute to TMC program development and on occasion may be asked to help submit clinical case studies for peer-reviewed publication. Following a treatment protocol that has been in development at The Morris Center since 1986 and tested via three NIH funded Randomized Controlled Trials research studies co-authored by The Morris Center staff. TMC clinics (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; Ocala, FL; & Port of Spain, Trinidad) also use other research-based and evidence-based treatments. Most importantly, The Morris Center clinical teams typically achieve above average gains in a few months of high intensity treatment (>1 SD of improvement) with gains evident on post-treatment standardized assessments of speech, language, academic, sensory, motor, mood/behavior and self-esteem in only a few months of transdisciplinary and intensive team treatment. Likewise, TMC clinics proprietary treatment approach has RCT evidence of long-term continued gains even 1 or 2 years after treatment services have ended. See several articles in The Ponte Vedra Recorder that profile our clients from South Africa, local clients and staff too, eg. The Morris Center’s Reputation Brings Family from South Africa:

The ideal SLP candidate will strive to make dramatic changes in children and adults' academic, cognitive/language, personal/interpersonal, and occupational abilities. The Morris Center is a lifespan clinic serving patients as young as 2-3 years old and to date our oldest patient was 74 years old. Dr. Tim Conway is the owner of The Morris Center’s three clinics and he has been a part of TMC’s program development, co-authored the NICHD funded RCTs and other publications and has trained thousands of SLP’s, OT’s, Psychologists and educators since he joined The Morris Center right out of his undergraduate education in 1989.
