Financial Services Professional – Advisor & Management Career Path

Build a client-facing career in financial services with structured training, licensing support, local coaching, and long-term opportunities in financial advising and field leadership.

New York Life’s Jacksonville Office is seeking motivated professionals, career changers, business owners, and experienced financial professionals who enjoy building relationships, developing business, and helping individuals, families, and business owners prepare for their financial futures.

Compensation, Development Support & Benefits

This is a full-time financial professional career with commission-driven compensation, not a traditional fixed-salary position.

Depending on the agent contract for which you qualify, income support is available whether you are transitioning into the career, building a new practice, or bringing and growing an established practice.

Eligible full-time agents may have access to a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental and vision coverage, prescription benefits, a 401(k), a company-funded pension plan, life insurance, and disability coverage. Income support, benefits eligibility, and plan provisions vary based on contract type, production requirements, and applicable plan terms.

This career combines the independence and income potential of building a client-focused practice with the training, coaching, resources, and benefits eligibility available through an established company.

What You’ll Do

  • Complete structured training and work toward the licenses and appointments required for your role.
  • Build trusted relationships with individuals, families, and business owners throughout Northeast Florida.
  • Help clients identify insurance-based protection, retirement, and broader financial needs after completing the appropriate licensing and training.
  • Develop and grow your client base through relationships, referrals, networking, community involvement, and consistent follow-up.
  • Create and implement a business-development plan with ongoing coaching and accountability.
  • Use company-supported technology, marketing, planning, and professional-development resources.
  • Pursue opportunities in financial advising or field management after meeting applicable licensing, training, production, and eligibility requirements.

Who We’re Looking For

You may be a strong fit if you are:

  • Comfortable meeting new people and developing professional relationships.
  • Self-motivated, coachable, accountable, and willing to learn.
  • Interested in building something meaningful over time.
  • Comfortable with business development and performance-based compensation.
  • Able to manage your activity, follow through on commitments, and overcome setbacks.
  • Interested in serving clients while becoming part of the Jacksonville business community.
  • Able to participate regularly in local training, coaching, and office activities.

Experience in sales, business development, financial services, customer relationships, management, hospitality, military leadership, education, community engagement, or business ownership can be valuable.

Previous financial-services experience is not required for candidates entering the profession.

Opportunities for Experienced Professionals

Experienced financial professionals may be considered for contract options and development support designed to help them transition and grow an established practice. The specific structure depends on experience, credentials, production history, contract eligibility, and other applicable requirements.

Candidates with qualifying management, direct-sales, advanced-degree, or business-ownership experience may also be considered for an accelerated management path, subject to program eligibility and performance requirements.

Training and Career Development

You will have access to:

  • Structured onboarding and licensing support.
  • Local coaching and mentorship.
  • Business-planning and practice-development guidance.
  • Sales, marketing, and technology resources.
  • Continuing professional-development opportunities.
  • Potential career paths in financial advising and field leadership.

Important Role Clarification

This is a relationship-driven financial-services and business-development career. It is not an inbound call-center position, customer-service desk role, or traditional salaried corporate job.

Financial professionals are responsible for developing client relationships and growing their practices through networking, referrals, community involvement, and consistent business-development activity.

Work Location

This is a Jacksonville-based opportunity involving local training, coaching, networking, and market development. It is not being advertised as a fully remote position.

How to Apply

Apply directly through the JAX Chamber Quick Apply feature. No cover letter is required.
